What do we do? Our services focus on non-invasive manual therapy that aim to improve the overall health of your animal.

Animals, unlike humans, can't verbally express their pain. Instead, they show discomfort through altered personality, behavior, or performance. Regular osteopathic treatments help prevent injuries and aid in rehabilitating conditions like arthritis and limb lameness.

The benefits of osteopathic manual therapy include an increase in vascular and lymphatic drainage, pain reduction, improvement in joint mobility and overall biomechanics,  stress reduction, and overall health and longevity. Here at Horses & Hounds your animal's wellbeing is my top priority.

About Me

Hey there, I’m Megan Woods! I’m a lifelong horse enthusiast and a dedicated pharmacy professional.

Although I have a long history of riding horses, it was simply recreational - at some point along the line, I realized I wanted to do more than just ride…I wanted to make a difference. So, early in 2023, I began the journey to become certified in Equine Sports Massage therapy (CESMT).

My studies at Midwest Natural Healing for Animals were eye-opening. I learned that lameness in horses can stem from a myriad of factors including the rider's position, saddle fit, and biomechanics to name just a few. This course went beyond teaching traditional massage techniques; it provided me with invaluable insights into the holistic care of horses.

After getting certified in CESMT, I was so excited, I had to learn more! I wanted to be able to help not only horses but dogs as well. Currently I am in the process of completing a specialized program in Canine and Equine Osteopathy at the London College of Animal Osteopathy. With just six months left until graduation, I am excited to bring a deeper level of care and understanding to the services I offer.

My commitment to continuous learning and professional development provides the quality of care at Horses & Hounds. Upon my osteopathy certification completion, I will be expand my services to include osteopathic treatments, which will offer a wider range of services and a more holistic approach to your animal’s health.
